Tip of the day #9

Be an optimist-

There is a world of difference between the everyday life of an optimist and of a pessimist. The optimist sees people and things and situations as possibilities, possibilities that tomorrow will be better or maybe if life seems to be hectic and sucky, focus on the roof over your head and the heat and the money to pay that
heating bill. Focus on the family and the friends that are there for you. A pessimist will always focus on the bad or the negative of a situation or only see a person's decision in a bad light. If a person in a position of responsibility makes a decision that affects us, say, a school teacher, a boss, a manager or parent, we can focus on the fact that it is NOT what I think should be done, or we can look at it as "This person is clearly in this position because they are best for the job, and I'm sure they made this decision based on factors that I am clearly not aware of, so based on this, I am ok with this decision even though it seems unfair to me, my kids or employees".
A boss makes decisions for a business, not always keeping his employees best interest in mind, but in the end if the company survives so do our jobs. A teacher makes decisions based on the success and welfare of the entire class. Even though one parent or group thinks the teacher is singling our their child or cannot see the big picture and is making bad decisions,,,,, the parents need to realize that they don't see the daily school day, they only hear what their child wants them to hear and there are many other students in that classroom to accommodate, sooo,, the optimist would say something like, "I don't feel that I would have made that decision, BUT, I'm sure there are many factors involved that I do not see so I will support the decisions of the school teachers. -- If we are faced with an unfortunate situation of any kind, loss of a job, in an accident, loss of any kind, or whatever kind of seemingly negative situation one could find themself, there are two ways to respond. As a pessimist: "WHY ME?!" As an optimist: "We will get through this and be stronger on the other side".

A photographer has to focus his camera before every shot- If he is sloppy and focuses on the wrong thing, it makes his images very uninteresting and even hard to look at. But having the same image with the correct focus, focusing on the correct part of the image, makes this a joy to look at and would make people want to buy that image and hang it in their living area.

Are you the image that people want to throw in the garbage and tie in the black trash bag?

Are you the image that people want to take home and place in their living area to be around everyday for all to enjoy?

Be an optimist- it's a great image

Most critical 4 years!

As parents, we choose to have children and therefore we are obligated to sacrifice almost everything in our life to raise, teach and protect...
