tip of the day #39

Someone said- Did you hear that- Well I heard- You won't believe what someone- SSccccrreeeecchhhhh!!!

Don't gossip- lol, this is a tough one for all of us I know. But if it starts with "someone told me" or any of the above mentioned phrases, we'd probably be better off not saying it. Especially if you don't have a name for that someone, and if you can't say the name it's better left un-said. I have a policy when someone says 'someone said' I ask who the someone was, and if they are unwilling to say, then it's probably not true, there isn't really a someone or the someone made it up.

It can lead to lots of trouble for the one talked about. Lots. There was a situation recently where someone is going through some legal problems because someone started a sentence out with "someone said that......" and some possibly incorrect info got into the wrong hands and those wrong hands were attached to a busy-body and that busy-body had a mouth that was fast to speak and a mind that was slow to listen and consider others.

In a nut shell, think it through before you blab- really, because the last time it was said about you,  you probably thought, i never said that, i never did that!! but that was after it was inflated at several rumor mills.
